Obama Signs Small Business Bill

One top Missouri Bank Association official raises questions about a small business expansion law. Ben Wagner has more from Jefferson City.

Wrap: The Small Business Jobs Act gives small banks the option to recieve incentives to lend money to small businesses.

The Small Business Lending Fund now makes 30 billion dollars available to banks with less than 10 billion dollars in total assets.

Bankers Association President Max Cook says he hopes the law will work but only time will tell.

Description: "If they already have plenty of capital and liquidity, why would you go spend additional monies and incur additional cost. So, I guess we're just going to have to wait and see."

Cook also said until the details of how banks can lend money are finalized, he is still not sure if the program will help small banks.

This comes at the heels of a new law signed by president Obama, aiming to spark growth in the small business sector.

Overfelt says this law is long overdue.
