Missouri Lawmakers Examine State Budget

More figures emerged Tuesday about Governor Nixon's budget. House budget committee is investigating the administration's spending. Amanda Macias has more from Jefferson City.

Description: "The total for the Governor's office operating budget is 1.9 million. That is for thirty seven staff and then some expenses."

The nearly 2 million dollar annual budget includes staff paychecks and travel expenses. 

But the governor recieves funds from state departments and individual agencies to cover some of his travel bills.

Luebbering said that the Governor's budget has been reduced from previous years.

And budget recommendations for the upcoming fiscal year will be made in late January.
