In a frenzy of speculation, we ask TD El-Amin what's true and what isn't.

This has caused speculation around the state Capitol he isn't who the FBI is after, and El-Amin agrees.

When asked if he was approached about wearing a wire to implicate other elected officials, Representative El-Amin had this to say:

Description: "I was charged with something, I plead to that and in terms of cooperating is something that I wouldn't do, wear a wire or anything like that because I don't think that's really accepting responsibility."

El-Amin says he has submitted resignation paperwork to the Governor's office dated September 24 despite claims from the Governor's office that none was ever submitted.

An administration official says that if he delayed resignation it would extend his health care to cover the month of October.

After Democratic Representative Talibdin, TD, El-Amin's indictment on bribery charges there has been speculation that he was approached to wear a wire to implicate other elected officials.
