Montee criticized Palin for citing former Democratic VP candidate Geraldine Ferraro and U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton. The Missouri Auditor said Palin was on the opposite side of those two Democrats on key issues involving women.
On the other side, Missouri's one Republican statewide official Sarah Steelman immediately endorsed Palin's selection on the day of her selection citing her efforts against government corruption.
