Intro: The Missouri State Democratic Party Head calls for a House Representative who was indited for sexually assaulting a minor to immediately resign.

Missouri Democratic Party Chairman Jack Cardetti wants Representative Scott Muschany out of office.

Muschany was charged with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl last Spring and Cardetti wants him out of the chamber for good.

Cardetti is not the only one troubled by Muschany's alleged act. State Republicans have also called on Muschany to leave office.

The Democratic Party Head also said the situation with Muschany is far too serious to let him keep his job as a lawmaker.

Republican State Senator Delbert Scott says that it is to difficult for Representative Muschany to remain active in office.

Senator Scott says that Muschany's resignation would be a good thing especially because he is not running for re-election.

The Clinton Senator went on to say that Muschany 'calling it quits' would also benefit the Republican party.

Senator Scott said that anytime something like this occurs within the legislature it hurts the entire body of a party whether Democratic or Republican.
