Mayor's Alliance holds first meeting

Intro: City mayors from across the state gathered in Jefferson City.

Abigail Grimmett (GRIMM-IT) has more from the State Capitol.

OutCue: SOC The newly formed Alliance of Mayors held its first meeting Tuesday morning. St. Louis City Mayor Francis Slay said municipal control, transit and transportation and education will be the group's priority issues.

Description: Now we've identified three broad categories and we're going to try to narrow in some sub-categories and work on together and be more effective and do a better job in communicating and articulating our message to the state legislature.

Slay went on to say the group is open to mayors from across Missouri.  Reporting from the State Capitol, I'm Abigail Grimmett.

Description: With the term limits you have fewer people there with as much experience so we need to do a better job of communicating our messages and concerns and issues and our challenges to them.
