Republican Governor Kenny Hulshof wants to clean up state government.

If elected, Hulshof said an Inspector General would keep Missouri's government transparent.

Missouri Democratic Spokesman Zac Wright said Hulshof's new plan is nothing more than a frantic attempt to gain voters.

Actuality:  WRIGHT1.WAV

Description: "It was a similarly veiled political attempt by a failing candidate. He's seen his low numbers in the polls, he's struggling financially, and he is just desperate to throw anything in the race he can."

Hulshof said the Inspector General would aggressively pursue those who break the rules.
