A Telephone deregulation bill wasn't up for debate on the Senate Floor for long before it was DeRailed by Dead Chicks.  The Dead Chick filibuster... raised by Rural Missouri Senator Chuck Purgason and Dan Clemens.
Actuality:  CHICKFIL.WAV
Run Time: 00:14

Description: While I've got you here, I had a hatch this weekend and every one of them died.

I'm sorry that is one Peril of the Bird Business.

The Dead Chick filibuster over the telephone bill was over yet another unrelated issue.  It was an effort to force the house to adopt a bill that bans expanded mandatory animal livestock identification systems.
