Brandon Smith tells us how the school handles infection in student health education.
Coaches are required by the school to receive yearly training from local health agencies to help them identify potential health risks. The coaches are then expected to educate their athletes.
However, Tim Thompson, Jefferson City High School's Activities Director, said once the coaches have been through training, the school does not check whether they spoke to their players.

Thompson said he continues to take meetings every year concerning the school's response to infection but that no changes would be made to the current policy.
