However, the crash follows Governor Blunt's recent policy directives targeting illegal immigrants.
Governor Blunt has announced a press conference tomorrow regarding those policies in response to yesterday's incident.

Intro: After an illegal immigrant drove his SUV into a restaurant patio in Clayton, a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce expressed concern that people would use the accident against other immigrants.

Jorge Riopedre, the secretary of the St. Louis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, said car accidents happen all the time, and most do not involve illegal immigrants.

Riopedre said the accident would not lead to further legislative action, since there have already been a large number of bills targeting immigrants.
