The Missouri National Guard could soon mobilize to assist in areas affected by tornadoes that ripped through the state over the weekend. Tim Walker has more from Jefferson City.
Governor Blunt issued an executive order making the Guard available for support and rescue operations.
The State Emergency Management Agency is currently assessing damages across the state and will decide whether or not the National Guard is needed.
Major General King Sidwell says the Missouri National Guard is ready to help out.
The storms claimed the lives of nine people across the state.
