Missouri's legislature has taken off for Easter break...on a resoundingly conservative statement.
Victor Roberto has more from the state Capitol.
The Republican legislature finished the midway point passing the two biggest issues pushed by business-lawsuit limits and workers' compensation restrictions.
Despite the Republican victories, Senate Democratic leader Maida Coleman expressed no doubts about her more conciliatory ton she adopted when she took over leadership for Senate Democrats.
On the other side, the Senate's top Republican leader suggested that there will be less Republican legislative unity in the second half of the session.
For now, lawmakers will face issues that divide both Republicans and Democrats.
