House Democrats announced their 2006 economic agenda Monday.
Dustin Blanchard tells us about some of their proposals from the state Capitol.
House Minority leader Jeff Harris proposes giving Missouri companies an advantage in bidding for state contracts.
Under his proposal, a Missouri company could bid five-percent higher than an out-of-state firm, and still be considered the lowest bidder.
Harris says the extra costs are less than the potential benefit to Missouri's economy.
The Governor's office didn't comment on the specific proposal, but said Missouri's economy is strong.
Blunt announced a one billion dollar commitment by Daimler Chrystler in the state.
The Democrats also proposed lifting the sales tax on automobiles made in Missouri.
