A former FBI agent will now be in charge of Missouri's homeland security. Lacey Hanson has more from Jefferson City.
The Director of the Department of Public Safety appointed former FBI agent Paul Fennewald as Homeland Security Coordinator for Missouri. The Communication Director for the Department of Public Safety, Terri Durdaller, says the position will be more effective under the DPS.
"With the ability to use all of the resources that the Department of Public Safety possesses, including that of the Highway Patrol and the State Emergency Management Agency, this position will be able to be more of a proactive position."
This will be the first time in Missouri that homeland security will be under the direction of the Department of Public Safety. From the state capital, I'm Lacey Hanson.

"He has 25 years of intelligence gathering and also counter terrorism experience and all of this makes him our top pick for the Homeland Security Coordinator."
