The voluntary program requires both parents and students to attend a meeting and sign a permission form to be tested.

In the wake of it's success, the Missouri School Board Association has recently issued guidelines for other districts looking into the program.

Fort Zumwalt Superintendent Bernard DuBray says the district is relying heavily on parents to lean on their kids and get them into the voluntary program.
