Medical professionals say Missouri bill to ban human cloning will harm stem cell research

A medical researcher and doctor told a Senate committee that a Missouri ban on human cloning would hinder embryonic stem cell research.

Bill Neaves,a medical researcher in Kansas City, told the Senate committee that a state ban on human cloning would hurt people in need of medical help.

Contents: "Senate bill 160 would send medical scientists who search for these cures to jail. Senate bill 160 would prevent patients in Missouri from using SCNT stem cell cures that might be developed elsewhere in the years ahead."

Medical professional David Prentice supports the bill.
