Supporters of an abortion restriction bill are one step closer to achieving their goal.
Kelly Snyder tells us what happened with the bill.
The House Children Committee approved an abortion restriction bill in an 8-2 vote.
The bill aims to stop minors from crossing state borders to have an abortion.
Parents would have the right to sue those who help their children get abortions without parental consent.
Representative Beth Low opposes the bill.
She says she is concerned with teenagers taking matters into their own hands.
Bill sponsor John Loudon admits he has no control over the teenagers' choices.
But, he says, the bill will stop people from violating the others' rights.
From the state Capitol, I'm Kelly Snyder.
