Democratic leaders point to republican bills on workers compensation, unemployment benefits, and union organizing that they say hurt workers.
Senate Minority Leader Ken Jacob says workers need to wake up to the threat.
"The rank and file working men and women have not understood what a threat the republican party is to their well being."
