The Senate passed a resolution Thursday forming a committee to combat underage drinking. Lindsay Shively has the story.
Senate Majority Leader Mike Gibbons says the goal of the Joint Interim Committee on Underage Drinking is to evaluate current efforts to stop underage drinking and increase their effectiveness. The committee would include legislators and people from the community including students. The father of two teenagers, Gibbons says the problem needs to be addressed.
The committee has until December 31 to report their findings. From the state Capitol, I'm Lindsay Shively.
