==UPDATE 1==
A House Committee heard testimony that gives counties say on how they spend "conceal and carry" regesration fees.
Paul Matadeen has more from the state capitol.
It's in response to a Missouri Supreme Court ruling.
Under the Hancock Amendment in Missouri's constitution... If the state allows concealed weapons permits... it has to find the money to pay for it.
Larry Crawford's bill would give counties the power to use fees for permits towards related expenses.
He says lawmakers must take responsibility for making the correction.
The fee for concealed weapons is set at one-hundred dollars.

==UPDATE 2==
A House Committee heard testimony on a bill to fix the "Conceal and Carry" law... And make it Constitutional.
Paul Matadeen is at the state capitol.
The Missouri Supreme court ruled... the state cannot force counties to issue "conceal and carry" permits UNLESS it gives them the money to pay for it.
Otherwise the law violates the Hancock Amendment in Missouri's Constitution.
So then, Larry Crawford's bill gives counties freedom to use permit fees to cover permit expenses.
He says it's lawmakers responsibility.
If the bill passes in committee, it will go to the House floor for debate.
From the state capitol, I'm Paul Matadeen.
