Higher Ed. Leaders Visit Lawmakers

State higher education leaders told a house committee their priorities for Missouri's colleges and universities.

Flanked by UM System President Elson Floyd, State Higher Education Commisioner Quentin Wilson told lawmakers participation in higher education in Missouri is at a regional low.

Contents: We're not asking for more money, we are hoping we can maintain the current level of funding, and that's going to take a lot of heavy lifting this year I know. But, we're hoping we can maintain the current resources and our goal will be to increase participation based on the existing resources.

Wilson says participation in state colleges and Universities is at 39 percent.
