Holden makes another attempt to get Republican support for tax increases

Governor Holden met with House Republicans in what he says was an effort to explain his position on the budget.

The Governor has said he would settle for a smaller tax increase than he initially proposed.

But House speaker Catherine Hanaway says it would still be the largest increase in the state's history and republicans haven't been persuaded to support it.

Holden said he would compromise by asking for a smaller tax increase than he initially proposed.
