Officals say it has lost all general revenue funding from the state and is being funded this year from an internal trust. Executive Director of the Missouri Art Council, Norree Boyd says that if no new funding is found they will have to close.
Officals say that the Art Council is continuing all programs but all of them have taken substantial cuts. Officals are meeting with the governor's staff and the Department of Economic Development to try to restore some of the funds.
