Holden's spokesman defends his boss's recent trips promoting his plan for the Rainy Day fund.

Gov. Holden's recent statewide promotion trips prompted criticism from some Republicans.

Yet Holden spokesman Jerry Natchtigal says the trips are necessary to sell the governor's ideas to the public.
