You can now sign up for coverage from the Missouri Government.
Lt. Governor Joe Maxwell says the state is willing to pay up to 60 percent of your prescriptions.
If you meet the requirements.
Maxwell heads the state's prescription drug task force and says the program is taking applications until May 30th.

If accepted, you can start seeing the benifits around the first of July.

Missouri is finally ready to help relieve your rising prescription costs.
You can now sign up for the Senior-R-X program if you are over 65 and don't have Medicaid coverage or insurance.
Lt. Governor Joe Maxwell spearheaded the program and says seniors have a tough time with prescriptions.
To help out, Maxwell says the state will pay up to 60 percent of your prescription costs if you apply by May 30th.
Then you'll be able to get the benefits by July 1st.

Seniors without medicaid coverage can now sign up for prescription relief from the Missouri Government.

Though the state is still working hard on crunching out a budget, it's going ahead with a prescription relief program for senior citizens.
The program will help those over 65 who don't have insurance or medicaid.
Lt. Governor Joe Maxwell knows it has been a tough budget year, but feels that seniors are a top priority.
And for relief, the state will pay up to 60 percent of your prescription costs if you apply by May 30th.
Maxwell says he expects to have upwards of 85,000 people sign up for coverage.
