A St. Charles County senator urged the Senate General Laws Committee to strip St. Louis city of control over Lambert Airport. Chris Fink has the story in Jefferson City.
Under the bill sponsored by Republican Senator Chuck Gross, the city will still recieve the profits, but surrounding counties will have more say in the airport's operation.
Gross says the bill is not intended to stop airport expansion.
A lobbyist for Lambert testified against the proposal saying both St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay and Lambert's biggest tenant, American Airlines, do not support the bill.
From Jefferson City, Chris Fink.
