Senator Says Governor's Plan May Cost Jobs

A St. Louis city senator says the Governor's plan to let Mexican trucks travel through Missouri may cost Missouri jobs.

Kennedy says he is willing to work with the Governor on his proposal allowing truckers to use special customs checkpoints in Kansas City and Monterey, Mexico while bypassing the usual border crossings.

Kennedy says he wants to make sure the same trucking rules would apply to Mexican truckers when it comes to training, log books and hazardous material declaration.

The Governor's proposal is designed to provide a economic boost in Missouri, but Kennedy is concerned about the proposal's effects.
