Senator Anita Yeckel introduces election reform

Senator Anita Yeckel is pushing for election reform that could prevent a mess like what happened in St. Louis in November of 2000.

And it would allow provisional ballots for those whose voting eligibility was questioned.

Representative Jim Seigfreid of Marshall is sponsoring the corresponding house bill, which does not contain those two measures.

The bill includes measures that allow people to vote up to 14 days before an election, and allow judges to come from other counties.

The bill did not pass last year, but Yeckel still thinks it's worthwhile.
