Senator Sarah Steelman of Rolla is introducing a resolution that calls for reforms within Major League Baseball--or else no funding for stadiums in Missouri.
Steelman says baseball needs to implement more revenue sharing and salary caps to stay competitive--rather than ask for new stadiums.
Steelman's resolution would urge--but not require--a moratorium on state funding of stadium projects until the big leagues make such reforms.
Steelman says she won't support the Cardinals stadium bill--and hasn't ruled out a filibuster.
