The proposed two hundred and ten million dollar ballpark is faced with opposition from several law-makers who are not from St. Louis.
They believe there are issues more deserving of the money than a new ballpark, such as education and transportation.
Rural Missouri representative Larry Crawford says the state has needs that are greater than the Cardinal's.
Despite opposition from some Missouri Law-makers, Mayor Slay and many St. Louis Legislators are still lobbying for support of the bill becasue of its positive economic effect on St. Louis.
