Opponents of a plan to spend tax money on a new ballpark for the Cardinals say voters should decide.
Missy Shelton has more.
A plan to let voters have input on the Cardinals stadium proposal came before a House committee.
The public vote proposal comes from St Louis County representative Jim Murphy...he's one of the most outspoken critics of public funding for a new stadium.
He says voters need to get the facts and then head to the polls.
Those who oppose sending it to the voters argue lawmakers should decide the issue since they are elected by the people to make these kinds of decisions.
