The house approved a transporation bill stripping city control of Lambert Airport.

The bill includes a provision that gives surrounding counties more representation on Lambert Airport's governing body.
Some representatives thought the provision would make St. Louis City representatives vote against the bill, yet it passed 88 to 68 with some city represenatives voting yes.
St. Louis City represenative Tom Villa says the surrounding counties are trying to steal the airport from the city.
The bill now goes to the senate.

The provision, voted into a transportation bill, gives surrounding counties greater representation on Lambert's governing body.
Lawmakers expected St. Louis city represenatives to vote aginst the bill because of this provison, yet some city representatives voted yes.
Representative John Hickey of St. Louis Country sponsored the measure.
He says the amendment is about getting control on something that has an effect on you.
The bill is now on its way to the senate.
