The House redistricting committee passed their new plan for congressional districts with a 12-6 vote.

And Representative Bill Ransdall says the only change is the city of Ashland is no longer split between districts.

Actuality:ransdall
RunTime: 11 seconds
OutCue: "up beside that."
Contents: Ransdall says Ashland has been reunited in the ninth district, which is held by Republican Kenny Hulshof, and part of the rural population was moved to fill the gap.

But, Republican Representative John Griesheimer says he still thinks the plan is gerrymandering because congressman Hulshof is the only incumbent to have their district split.

Griesheimer also says St. Francois and Washington counties are now in the ninth district for the first time.
