This is Aaron Cummins in Jefferson City, where on the same day lawmakers debated redistricting proposals, Mayor Francis Slay says he'd like St. Louis city to keep its two Congressional seats.
Slay came to the capital to push for issues he says are important to the city.
That includes a new ballpark for the Cardinals, but he says nothing new has happened on that front.

The mayor won't say exactly what compromises have been made, but he's not giving up on the proposal.

The mayor came to the Capitol to lobby for issues he thinks are important to the city.
That includes the stadium, but also other bills like a centralized taxi cab authority for the metro area and "home rule" for the city.
