The Police Department and City Hall are closed in the city of Knob Noster while the state Health Department investigates a possible hazardous materials case.
A resident of Knob Noster brought a suspicious envelope to City Hall after discovering a problem Sunday night.

Kermick says the Police Department and City Hall are expected to open Thurday.
Knob Noster is located 10 miles away from Whiteman Airforce Base which is the home of B-2 bombers used in air raids on Afghanistan.

This is Sara Lasure for Missouri Capital Caucus.
A possible hazardous material threat has forced the Police Department and City Hall of Knob Noster to close Sunday and will remain closed until Thursday.
The State Health Department is investigating the situation.
Doug Kermick Knob Noster City Administrator said a resident was suspicious of the package.
The people in contact with the envelope have all gone to the hospital and have been tested, but results are not back. Kermick says that people are probably more cautious of the mail they are receiving.

The State Department of Health is investigating a starnge substance found on an envelope by a city resident.

Kermick expects the Police Department and City Hall to reopen Thursday after results of tests are confirmed. All people who came in contact with the envelope went to the hospital and necessary tests were given.
