Supposedly, Governor Bob Holden is meeting with St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay trying to hammer out passable legislation to build the Cardinals a new stadium. But, leaders backing the bill in the state capitol say they've heard nothing specific about the meetings from the Holden camp. Kyle Elfrink has more from Jefferson City.
Senator John Scott is sponsoring the stadium bill in the Senate. When informed by KMOX that governor Holden and mayor Slay were meeting to hammer out a new stadium deal, Scott said he hadn't heard anything from the governor ...
Scott says he isn't very concerned that he hasn't been informed about what's going on - he just hopes to know soon. Meanwhile, Representative Jim Foley, sponsor in the House, says he also hasn't heard any specifics, but hopes a bill does pass this year.
From the state capitol, I'm Kyle Elfrink.
