St. Louis City and County Reps spoke against the plan along with Cindy Ostmann a representative from St. Peters.
All the critics of the plan say it could delay any expansion for up to two years.

Opponents of a study say it's a stall tactic by people from St. Charles to prevent the W-1-W expansion, but the sponsor of the proposal, St. Charles Representative Tom Dempsey, says it's fiscally responsible to do a study before any expansion.
Critics also note that the FAA doesn't require a real time study.

A real time study of the W-1-W expansion plan was again brought before the Missouri House by a St. Charles representative and as in past years the move was defeated.
St. Louis County Representative Jim Murphy says the amendment carrying the plan would damage the biggest economic resource the city has.
The sponsor of the amendment says he's concerned about spending state money without doing a study.
