Legislators praise SMSU's women's basketball team

While waiting to vote on MU's new arena, the House turned its attention instead to another basketball team. Jenny Hoff has more from the State Capitol.

Southwest Missouri State's Lady Bears stood before both the House and Senate to receive their applause.

The women's basketball team made it all the way to the Final Four this season.

Since new arenas seem to be the topic at hand, one lawmaker even offered a new playing field to the Lady Bears.
