Missouri's House took a vote on ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment.
And, it failed by a 94-57 margin.
But, sponsor Deleta Williams says she has reason to keep fighting.
The U.S. Congress passed the ERA almost 30 years ago.
But, it has not been ratified by the states.
Opponents say it could possibly free up federal money for abortions and same sex marriages.

Missouri's House voted down the Equal Rights Amendment by a 94-57 margin.
Representative Catherine Hanaway, the first female floor leader in Missouri, voted against it.
That's because she says she would rather lead by example.
Opponents say that the ERA could free up federal money for abortions and same sex marriages.
The ERA needs to be ratified by three more states to be added to the Constitution.
But, opponents also say this is a dead issue because the U.S. Congress passed the ERA nearly 30 years ago.
