One drink too many might land drivers with a ticket on Saturday.

That's when a new Missouri law goes into effect, lowering the legal blood alcohol limit.

Robin Adkison from the Division of Highway Safety says similar legislation in other states has caused an eight-to-16 percent decrease in drunk driving crashes and deaths.

And, she says lawmakers passed the law with only the best intentions.
