A Missouri lawmaker wants the state to crack down on computer crime. Heather Hogan has more from Jefferson City.
Under a house bill proposed by Northeast Missouri Democrat Phil Smith, the Attorney General will be able to investigate crimes involving the Internet. Smith says he'd like the Attorney General to team up with Missouri prosecuters.
Smith says Internet crimes are increasing.
And, he says this plan will allow local law enforcment agencies to work hand-in-hand with the Attorney General to slow Internet crime. From Jefferson City, I'm Heather Hogan for KMOX News.
