The bill establishes Bird Appreciation Day for Missouri. But some senators say that other animals shouldn't be left out. So, Senator Sarah Steelman jokingly rallied for Missouri squirrels.
Squirrels don't have their own special day yet... but The Bird Appreciation Day did get Senate approval. If it passes the house, mark your calendars-Bird Appreciation Day would be March twenty-first.

Missouri Senators say birds deserve a little respect. So, they passed a bill creating a special day for them.
Senate Floor Majority leader Bill Kenney joked that the bill was anti-hunting.
