The city of St. Louis would lose control over Lambert Airport if the Senate passes a bill transferring power to a regional board.

The bill creates a regional board to govern all airports in the St. Louis region...in an effort to give the whole region a voice in airport decisions.
Senator Chuck Gross, D-St. Louis, says this bill is not trying to interfere with the T-W-A and American Airlines merger.
This is not the first time the Senate has tried to pass legislation to create a regional board.
Gross says the language in his bill is different, and hopes there is enough support for it to pass this year.
