While discussing the airport governance issue Troupe labeled Senate Republican Leader Steve Ehlmann racist.
Now St. Louis County Senator Francis Flotron has introduced one of two remonstrances to defend Elhman and St. Charles.

Troupe continues to insist he will not apologize to Ehlmann.

Senate Republican Leader Steve Ehlmann responded with caution to two proposed House and Senate remonstrances defending him from racist accusations.
Laetitia Thompson has the story from the state capitol.
While discussing the airport goverance issue during Charles Jaco's show Tuesday, St. Louis Representative Charles Troupe called Ehlmann and his St. Charles constituency racist.
Ehlmann says the remonstrance is probably the right thing to do but thinks refocusing on the airport goverance issue is more important.
Troupe says he has no intention of offering Ehlmann an apology.
