Senate votes to extend term limits from eight to twelve years

Missouri senators voted to extend their term limits by twelve more years.

The bill would cancel out the original eight year term limit Missouri voters chose in 1992.

The Missouri Senate has approved a new loophole for legislators to bypass term limits.

The Senate voted to revise and extend legislative term limits from eight to twelve years.

But St. Charles Senator Ted House says wording in the bill allows innovative legislators to serve beyond the twelve year limit.
