A bill went before a House committee hearing Tuesday to provide disabled Missourians better access to technology.

Representative Bill Boucher is sponsoring a bill that will allow those with disabilities better access to expanding technology.
The measure builds on past legislation to include technologies such as the internet.
Mark Pickering, head of the Governor's Council on Disability, says the bill will let disabled Missourians communicate more effectively.
Boucher says his bill will help several thousand disabled Missourians each year.

A bill bringing technology to Missouri's disabled went before a House committee hearing Tuesday.

Representative Bill Boucher is sponsoring a measure which will allow Missouri's disabled to use expanding technology. The measure uses a telecommunications surplus to fund the expansion. Dennis Miller, Vice President of the Missouri Council for the Blind was one of several supporters of the measure. He says the legislation makes expanding technology accessible.
Boucher's legislation will bring technology to thousands of Missouri's disabled each year.
