Missouri's governor stops short of apologizing for a scuffle between two journalists and a highway patrol man who says he was just doing his job.
Missy Shelton has this report from Jefferson City.
A reporter and a camera man approached Governor Mel Carnahan at the Jefferson City airport. The governor shook their hands then put his hand over the camera lens and asked what they want.
The reporter asked the governor a question and Sargeant Elbert Marshall, a highway patrol man and member of the govenror's security staff shoved the camera man back into a hangar.
The governor doesn't apologize for what happened.
And the head of the Missouri Highway Patrol, Colonel Weldon Wilholt defends Marshall's actions.
Wilholt says he's reviewed Marshall's report and he won't take any action against Marshall.
