In an informal survey conducted by Missouri Capitol Caucus Reporters, elected Democrats agreed with Vice President Al Gore's decision to fight the Florida results.
Most Statehouse democrats say Gore is following the law. Few had worries about any future backlash against the Democratic Party as a result of the Vice President's actions.
Governor-elect Bob Holden said every vote needs to be counted and agrees with Gore's fight.
Some democrats cautioned that the patience of the people might be wearing thin. Representative Ted Farnen said Gore needs to be careful even though he has the right to challenge the election.

For Missouri Capitol Caucus, I'm Rodger Oakes, Jefferson City.
