The State Census Bureau is looking for bilingual people to help with this year's count of Missouri's residents. KBIA's Jessica Carter has the story.
Not only is the Missouri Census Bureau looking for people that can speak more than one language, they are in need of people who speak Spanish.
The Hispanic population in the area has multiplied over the past ten years and the Bureau is working on ways to communicate with the growing community.
Eduardo Crespi, a volunteer for the Missouri Census, says the Bureau isn't set up to handle the non-English speaking Latino community and is trying to recruit Hispanics to help get and accurate count.
The Bureau plans to send out the Census questionaires on April first of this year and hopes to find more bilingual workers before that date. Jessica Carter, KBIA News.
