Missouri senators agree state tax cuts are necessary. The question now becomes how large can they be. Chris Pelikan has the story from Jefferson City

GOP senators clashed with their Democratic counterparts on the floor of the Missouri Senate with tax cuts to blame. While both sides agree that the fruits of Missouri's robust economy should be shared by its taxpayers, disputes exist as to the extent.

Republican senator Peter Kinder argues the need to buck recent trend by giving the upper class a tax break.
